In 1909, Enos Mills led the campaign to establish a National Park in the Estes Park area. That same year, the famous Stanley Hotel began construction. Also that same year, a home was built by the Grubb Family on Virginia Drive. That home is now the Bristlecone Inn.

Nestled in a quiet neighborhood, yet steps away from downtown Estes Park, the Bristlecone Inn has recently been restored to its former grandeur. The Inn features craftsman style architecture and modern amenities. A family friendly inn, yet perfect for a romantic getaway.

Two guest rooms on the main level feature private baths, queen sized beds and stunning views of the mountains. Don’t be surprised to look out your window and see elk grazing in the yard! The two rooms upstairs share a luxury bathroom and feature a full sized bed on one room and a queen sized bed in the other.

At the end of your day, relax on our porch or sit in front of the outdoor fireplace. Reminisce about the days adventures. Gather in the great room to play board games or cards. Dining choices are abundant in Estes Park and summer concerts fill the air almost nightly.

Start your day with a complimentary breakfast!
featuring breakfast pastries, fresh fruit, granola, yogurt, coffee, juice and the daily hot entree such as waffles, pancakes, eggs, quiche, sausage or bacon. Spread out your maps on the large dining table and plan your hiking, snowshoeing, fishing or shopping excursions. Sit on our deck and drink your coffee, enjoying the fresh mountain air and magnificent views of the Rocky Mountains.

Looking for the quintessential log cabin?
Adjacent to the inn is a one bedroom log cabin which sleeps 4 and features a fully equipped kitchen, TV and outdoor patio. The cabin, a former National Park Service Cabin also built in 1909, was moved to its’ present location from Rocky Mountain National in 1966. You’ll feel like you’ve stepped into the Wild West with the authentic log interior and exterior, pine cabinets and wood floors. The queen sized bed and sleeper sofa and modern amenities will keep you firmly in the 21st century!

In addition to the guest rooms, the inn also features both outdoor and inside areas for private parties. A perfect spot for family reunions, rehearsal dinners and small weddings.  Click on the “Weddings and Events” tab on the website for additional information.

Whether you are looking for adventure or relaxation, activities abound in Estes Park. As the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park, Estes Park is your perfect home base for a mountain experience that will live forever in your memories. Shopping, festivals, concerts, hiking, horseback riding – the list goes on.

So come join us at the Bristlecone Inn. Create memories and traditions you will cherish forever.
